Step 1. After getting the Bed off, set the truck up on jack stands. Start by cleaning the frame, where you'll be welding.

Step 2. Clamp the Notch plate to the inside of the frame first. Finding center of notch, and centering it with the axle. After tac welding the first plate on, your ready for step 3.

Step 3. Can't emphasize enough, to clean the frame every where you'll need to weld. Penetration is very important when welding your Notch kit or any other suspension product on your frame.

Step 4. Using an angle finder, find out what degree your first notch is before clamping the second notch plate in place.

Step 5. Once the 2nd notch plate is in place and everything is aligned, go to step 6

Step 6. We test fit the top for accuracy before welding anything further.

Step 7. Now that we are certain everything is aligned correctly, we weld the 2nd plate. We also like to weld the inside of the plates to the original frame, before the top gets welded in.
NOTE: This cannot be done with a pre welded notch kit. Thus making the notch weaker.

Step 8. The top gets welded on all the way around, before cutting out the original piece of frame.

Step 9. Once the original piece of frame is removed, go ahead and weld the bottom of the notch solid.

Step 10. Of course making sure it fits properly first. Use clamps if necessary to assure a perfect fit.

Step 11. Once your done with the notch, you'll be ready for the next faze of the Bag kit.
