Rollpan FAQ
Q:
What is the difference between a regular rollpan, and a curved rollpan?
A: The Curve we put in a rollpan to match
or follow the BOW/CURVE in the bottom, center of the tailgate.
Q: Which
way is "Angled Down" and "Angled Up"?
A:
Q: How do
I install a Rollpan or CalCombo?
A: Sometimes the truck bedsides are off. You can try shimming
as well as taking a com-along or something to pull the bed together if needed.
I run across this on every install I do. The Rollpans & Combos are built,
exact to each side, but the part usually will fit one side of the truck, better
than the other. The Manufactures/factories slap them together and it sucks
for us, (the customizers). I once had a perfect Cal-Combo pattern I took off
a NEW S10. After I made it I checked it against the other side. The body line
was off by an 1/4". That sucks, and that means the dies they stamp the
bed sides with can be off as well as the way they assemble the trucks. So
just do your best when installing the sheet metal parts. I guarantee you,
that we build every part to a perfect pattern taken off a truck, and test
fitted before shipping.
